Susan L. Riddell Rose
President and Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Riddell Rose is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Perpetual and predecessor Paramount Energy Trust since inception in 2002. Prior thereto she was the Chief Operating Officer for Paramount Resources Ltd. and prior thereto a geological engineer with Shell Canada Limited. Ms. Riddell Rose graduated from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario in 1986 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological Engineering. She is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta, the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and serves as a governor for the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.
Ryan A. Shay
Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Shay became the Vice President, Finance & CFO of Perpetual on May 4, 2021 and has in excess of 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and was most recently Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking at Cormark Securities Inc. until he retired therefrom in June 2016. Mr. Shay was a member of Cormark’s Executive Committee, Risk Committee, Capital Markets Committee, Compensation Committee, Compliance Committee and Audit Committee. Mr. Shay joined Cormark in 1999 as an Energy Research Analyst and was promoted to the Executive Committee of the firm in 2000. Mr. Shay transitioned careers from Research to Investment Banking in 2007 and was promoted to Co-Head of Investment Banking in 2010 and Head of Investment Banking in 2013. Mr. Shay began his career in the investment industry with Peters & Co. Limited in 1996, earning his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1999 and was formerly with Deloitte & Touche in 1993, earning his Chartered Accountant designation in 1996. Mr. Shay received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with Great Distinction. Mr. Shay also sits on the board of Journey Energy Inc. and the National Board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Ryan M. Goosen
Vice President, Business Development & Land
Mr. Goosen has been with Perpetual and the predecessor Paramount Energy Trust since 2007, most recently in the position of General Manager, Business Development & Negotiations with a primary focus on strategy, negotiations, acquisitions and divestitures. Mr. Goosen holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with distinction, from the University of Calgary and a Master of Business Administration, with honors, from IE University in Madrid, Spain. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen, American Association of Professional Landmen and the Petroleum Acquisition & Divestment Association.
Jeffrey R. Green
Vice President, Corporate and Engineering Services
Mr. Green has close to 30 years of experience in the Canadian oil and natural gas industry. His previous industry experience includes Vice President of Production Operations & Administration, Manager, Acquisitions and Divestitures with Paramount Energy Trust and Exploitation Manager and Production Manager at Anadarko Canada Corp. Mr. Green has held additional technical and supervisory positions in other organizations including Norcen and Union Pacific Resources.
Marcello M. Rapini
Vice President, Marketing
Mr. Rapini joined Perpetual Energy Inc. in December 2005 and has close to 30 years of gas marketing and trading experience in the natural gas industry. His previous positions include Vice President of Trade at Sempra Energy Trading, Senior Trader at Mirant Energy Marketing Ltd. and Senior Trader at Duke Energy Marketing.
Karl H. Rumpf
Vice President, Exploration and New Ventures
Mr. Rumpf is a Professional Geologist with over 25 years of experience in the exploration and development of oil and gas properties in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. His previous positions include Founder, President, and CEO of Adastra Management, which managed assets on behalf of a Fortune 50 institutional investor, and recently advanced alternative energy technologies as Founder and President of Derecho Energy Storage Ltd. He is a graduate of the University of Alberta, received his M.Sc. in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo, and has completed the Directors Education Program from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
